Online Registration Now Open; Early Savings Available
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – PGA Professionals and industry leaders are now able to register online and take advantage of abundant business, career and product discovery opportunities, plus early savings, at the 59th PGA Merchandise Show, January 26-28, 2012, in Orlando, Fla. Business opportunities that the global golf industry has come to value, plus multiple new programs are in place to help some anticipated 40,000 PGA Professionals and industry leaders prepare for growth across all areas of their business.
“More than 1,000 top golf brands and companies are returning to our industry’s global business gathering,” said PGA Golf Exhibitions Vice President John McGeary. “Market leaders, industry veterans and fresh new faces to the golf industry are making plans with us to introduce new products, offer hands-on demonstrations and make available their top company executives.”
The PGA of America and PGA Golf Exhibitions will bring back the event’s most valued resources including Outdoor Demo Day (Jan. 25), the PGA Education Conference, the PGA Forum Stage for industry presentations, the indoor Equipment Test Center, the Inventor’s Spotlight Pavilion, multiple New Product Zones and networking events. Additionally, the 95th PGA Annual Meeting will be held at the beginning of Show Week; the annual prestigious PGA Awards will be held Thursday, Jan. 26; and The PGA of America will conduct multiple membership programs.
New Programs:
Many new programs are added to the schedule in 2012 including the roll-out of The PGA’s Golf 2.0 Strategic Plan, a new Business Leadership Series, and new Show Floor-featured destinations including the Golf Business Solutions Zone, a Live Fashion E-Studio and the International Components Guild Connections Center.
Golf 2.0
The industry’s comprehensive “Golf 2.0” initiative takes center stage at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show to introduce an exciting long-range strategic plan touching all sectors of golf in order to grow the game. Golf 2.0 is designed to increase participation in golf to 40 million players by 2020, increase rounds and increase revenue generated from industry-wide golf initiatives. Whether through social media, mobile phone technology or word-of-mouth advertising, PGA members will be able to combine traditional marketing strategies with hi-tech advancements – to reach existing clients, tap latent golfers and grow new business. Golf 2.0 will be visible on all PGA Show platforms including: Outdoor Demo Day, the PGA Education Conference, PGA Forum Stage, the PGA Member Business Center and throughout the show floor with PGA partners.
Business Leadership Series
PGA Golf Exhibitions is introducing a new Business Leadership Series each afternoon during Show days to include specially crafted, succinct management sessions that aim to equip industry professionals with the latest tools and resources to make smart daily business decisions, remain competitive in a dynamic marketplace and drive bottom line profits. The Series is built around four core tracks: Management, Market Innovation, Customer Programs and Finance/Sales.
Golf Business Solutions Zone
A dynamic and busy Show floor becomes even more valuable in 2012 with several new additions. The Golf Business Solutions Zone will feature current, proven answers to Facility Management & Revenue Maximization and Clubhouse Utilization. Maintaining and growing club membership, increasing operational revenues and promoting operational efficiencies are the most significant issues golf facilities face today and the focus of the newest addition to the Show floor.
Live Fashion E-Studio
In the Apparel Hall, a new Live Fashion E-Studio will provide an exciting interactive destination showcasing the latest golf fashion, styles, colors, fabrics, performance and trends from the leading brands in the industry. The Fashion E-Studio will host live presentations throughout Show Week and highlight apparel collections as well as the hottest accessory pieces. All presentations will be streamed to a live virtual audience.
ICG Connections Center
The PGA Merchandise Show and the International Components Guild (ICG) have developed a customized program for the Professional Club Making and Club Fitting segments of the golf industry. The ICG Connections Center will be the gathering place for PGA Professionals, clubmakers, clubfitters, club repair technicians, golf coaches and instructors to source innovative components; to attend free technical seminars; and network with club makers from around the world.
Early Savings
Before December 1, 2011, PGA Professionals can receive early-bird pricing on the PGA Education Conference, the new Business Leadership Series and register for the popular Super Saver Attendee Cost-Savings program.
PGA Education Conference
Register for the PGA Education Conference by December 1 to receive early-bird pricing on full conference or daily conference passes, a savings up to $50. Business Leadership Series
Register for the PGA Golf Exhibitions Business Leadership Series by December 1 to receive early-bird pricing on daily or full series passes, a savings up to $75. Attendee Super Saver Program
