New semi-private club located near Seoul opens spring 2012
Scottsdale, Ariz. (November 1, 2011) – Troon,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development, and marketing, is pleased to announce it has been appointed to manage Island Country Club on the island of Daebu in Korea.
Designed by David Dale of GolfPlan, the 27-hole facility will open in the spring of 2012. Ideally located in the Gyeonggi Province, just one hour from Seoul and 45 minutes from the Incheon International Airport, the semi-private club will feature 18 holes solely dedicated to member play with an additional nine holes available to the public. With stunning views, endless shot options and new challenges around every corner, Island Country Club will provide an unforgettable golf experience that will surely place it among the ranks of “must-see” and “must-play” courses in Korea.

Island Country Club will work closely with other Troon projects in the region, such as Alpensia Resort, Pine Tree Luxury Condo & Spa and the Troon Golf Academy at Banyan Tree Club & Spa, Seoul. This synergy compliments membership plans and access of the other projects, ideally suited around the Seoul business community. This short drive from the city center and international airport will make Island Country Club an ideal meeting venue for both Korean and International businessmen.
