LAKE MARY, FL – The International Network of Golf inserted a business coaching concept into the schedule of its annual ING Spring Conference last year and the concept received high marks from the media and industry executives in attendance.
So the ING University educational format returns in 2012 at the 22nd Annual ING Spring Conference, scheduled for May 20-24 at the Embassy Suites Greenville Resort & Conference Center in Greenville, SC.
The session will be conducted by a veteran in the business-coaching arena. David Berry is the Senior Director of the Learning Center at TaylorMade Golf Company, where he leads the company’s efforts to build and sustain a culture of maximum learning, engagement and contribution at all levels of the organization.
Approximately 175 people are expected at this annual gathering of media and golf industry leaders, conducted by the non-profit International Network Of Golf. The ING Spring Conference is open to anyone in the golf industry or media. For more information or to register, visit www.inggolf.com.
Super-saver discounts are now available for early registration. Contact ING at 407-328-0500, ext. 1 for details.
The conference also includes tremendous networking opportunities, product displays and tests, and lots of golf. The very popular ING One-On-One Appointment Show will return to the itinerary. The appointment show provides attendees a platform for private meetings to encourage business relationships. Also on the diverse ING itinerary will be workshops, speakers, the Demo Lab, the Food For Thought Breakfast, and the much more.
Berry’s program for the ING Spring Conference is entitled “Be Greater: Moving Toward the Edge of Possibility.” His summary of the program:
“Safety is a disease. It is both insidious and relentless in keeping us from getting what we want and from going where we want to go. The difference between good and great; the difference between acceptable and outstanding; the difference between what we’ve got and what we want is our willingness to confront our need for safety and challenge ourselves to explore new edges of possibility.
This program is an invitation to a new conversation about your own greatness. It is intended to nudge you away from the safety of the known and towards a kind of energized discomfort; the kind that comes from exploring new questions, ideas and possibilities about who you are and how you want to be in the world. Through simple questions and constructive dialogue you will have the opportunity to reconsider what you want next in your personal and professional life and what’s standing in the way of getting it (or at least taking a step towards it!).
Drawing on his experiences as the Director of the Learning Center at the TaylorMade Golf Company, as an executive and leadership coach, as a musician and, most importantly, as the father of three children, Berry will facilitate a conversation that challenges each attendee to confront and consider some powerful questions about the lives we are leading today and the possibilities that are available for us tomorrow.”
