SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today that the majority of golfers who competed in the 10th Annual PGA Jones Cup relied on Golf Pride grips to play their best. According to data compiled by The PGA of America, Golf Pride grips were used by 89 percent of all players at the tournament, held November 8-9, at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
“Golf Pride is proud to support the PGA Golf Management University programs as the presenting sponsor of the PGA Jones Cup,” said Dan Koehler, director of sales and marketing for Eaton’s Golf Grip Division. “The Jones Cup is a unique and exciting opportunity for PGM students to compete at the national level. We enjoyed being a part of their experience at this event and support their efforts to become PGA Professionals and leaders in the golf industry.”
This is first year Golf Pride served as the sole presenting sponsor of the signature event for future PGA Professionals. The event provides a platform for participants to display professionalism, integrity, character and camaraderie; all characteristics Dr. Roland Jones, former program director at Mississippi State University, instilled in PGA Golf Management students.
“The PGA of America is proud that Golf Pride, a company committed to excellence in its products and service, makes a commitment to aspiring PGA Professionals as a presenting sponsor of the Jones Cup,” said PGA of America President Allen Wronowski. “We are excited about this extended relationship and what this teamwork means toward providing a national showcase for many of the brightest and most promising leaders of our industry.”
