French Lick, IN – French Lick Resort in Southern Indiana has been selected to assume management responsibilities for Sultan’s Run Golf Course in nearby Jasper, Indiana. French Lick, a “Top 75 Resort in the United States” by Condé Nast Traveler, enters into a three-year management contract with Sultan’s Run, which will be the fourth course for the leading resort destinations golf offerings.
“I purchased Sultan’s Run two years ago with the intent of restoring it back to its previous standing as one of Indiana’s top public courses,” said owner Steve Braun. “With our strategic partnership with French Lick Resort and their demonstrated ability to run the top public courses in Indiana, Sultan’s will get there quickly.”
Sultan’s Run Golf Course opened in 1992 and was designed by Tim Liddy, a former disciple of Pete Dye. A former Top 10 course in Indiana, the course stretches over 224 acres, which was the former home of the legendary horse Supreme Sultan, who sired a record number of World Champion American Saddlebred horses.
Sultan’s Run will be the perfect compliment to French Lick Resort and a wonderful option for golfers looking for another quality course to package with the award winning Pete Dye course and the historic Donald Ross course. Located 20 miles from the resort, the course is a convenient drive for guests staying and playing at the resort.
The option to play Sultan’s Run will be included in the French Lick Resort package offerings. In addition to packages, the course will continue to operate and offer daily tee-times.
