Anaheim, CA – MATRIX would like to congratulate the United States World Cup team on winning the Omega Mission Hills World Cup over the weekend. The win marks the first time the U.S. has won the World Cup in 11 years at the 2000 World Cup in Buenos Aires. One of the U.S. players used a Matrix Ozik XCON in his 3 wood and an Ozik Program 95 in his hybrid to post an impressive 5 under on Sunday which put them at 24 under overall, and placed them ahead of Germany and England.
The Ozik XCON is the high launch/ low spin platform in the OZIK line, which currently features two new additions, the OZIK M3 and the Ozik RUL, which have both been recently released from MATRIX. The M3 and RUL are the first two of three new shafts in the Ozik family to release, with a new version of the XCON, to complete the new Ozik line, due to be released in the summer.
According to MATRIX Director of Tour Operations Joe Miera, “It is a great accomplishment for the company anytime the Ozik products participate in a win at a big event on the world stage like the World Cup.”
