Golfweek Partners With Future Champions Golf For 2012 Junior Tour

ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 1, 2011) – Golfweek today announced that Future Champions Golf will be the exclusive partner for the Western division of its popular Golfweek Junior Tour. Hosting a minimum of 16 competitive events across the Western U.S. in 2012, the Golfweek Junior Tour-West will hold its season opener Jan. 14-15 at Carlton Oaks Country Club in Santee, Calif.

“Our partnership with Future Champions Golf is an exciting step for the Golfweek Junior Tour,” said Armand Cimaroli, Golfweek’s director of events. “Future Champions Golf has a stellar reputation as one of the world’s premier junior golf programs, and by joining our resources and collaborating to create superior competitive events, we will be able to take our commitment to these young athletes to the next level.”

Providing golfers ages 10-19 with the opportunity to gain valuable tournament experience while garnering national exposure, the Golfweek Junior Tour also extends beyond the Western region to include a full roster of Midwestern events. Members of the Golfweek Junior Tour are eligible to play in both Western- and Midwestern-based tournaments. All Golfweek Junior Tour events that meet national ranking criteria will be ranked by Golfweek.
