For the second straight year, the medalist of the PGA Tour qualifying tournament used a MATRIX shaft. This year’s medalist used a TaylorMade Ghost driver equipped with a MATRIX TP6HD shaft, while the 2010 medalist used the MATRIX Ozik Altus and 8M2. In addition, the Ozik Altus was the most used shaft model in both the 2010 and 2011 qualifying tournaments.
According to MATRIX Director of Tour Operations Joe Miera, “Having the top qualifier use MATRIX at Q school back to back years is very exciting. MATRIX works hard to create products that will deliver maximum performance for players at any level, and we are fortunate to have so many players turn to MATRIX when it comes to important occasions such as qualifying for the PGA Tour.”
