NORWALK, Conn. – (December 1, 2011) PGA Golf Exhibitions and AHEAD, a leading designer and marketer of branded headwear, apparel and golf accessories, announced today the continued support of the PGA Merchandise Show. The AHEAD Men’s apparel line, AHEAD Headwear, AHEAD Accessories and the Kate Lord™ women’s collection will be attending the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 26-28 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. AHEAD has participated in the PGA Merchandise Show since the company’s inception in 1996.
“The PGA Show has always been a great venue for us to showcase our entire line of products and meet with our customers,” said Ken Shwartz, President, AHEAD. “It is amazing how supportive our customers have been throughout the years. Our first show we had an 8 x 10 booth and just sold hats, and now we have grown into one of the largest and busiest booths at the PGA Show. You can’t rest on your laurels in this business; you have to be constantly challenging yourself, launching new innovative products that create demand and consumer interest. Our ornamentation is the best in the industry and has been a key to our success over the years. Our accounts look to us to enhance their club logos and brand on headwear, apparel and accessories.”
AHEAD returns to help anchor the apparel section, in Booth No. 4757 and 4773. It will utilize the show to debut its fall 2012 men’s and women’s apparel lines, and its popular headwear line with additions to its performance line. PGA and AHEAD launched the PGA Authentic line of apparel, headwear and accessories at last year’s show and it has experienced strong sell through since. The PGA Authentic line by AHEAD will be introducing new styles for fall and will be in Booth No. 4959, which is adjacent to the AHEAD booths. There will be special in-booth events and appearances during the three-day show including the annual Hat Drop on Friday, Jan. 27 at 5 p.m.
“AHEAD annually provides an exciting presence on the PGA Merchandise Show floor and is a great partner to PGA Golf Shows,” said PGA Golf Exhibitions Vice President John McGeary. “Each year, we know that our attending PGA Professionals and retailers anticipate excitement at the AHEAD booth whether its new product launches or their infamous cap drop.”
