Richard Lee and his apparel of choice, Cross, when Lee tees it up on the PGA Tour in 2012. Lee finished in the Top 25 in the final stage of Q School on Monday after shooting a 68 on the Stadium Course at PGA West in Palm Desert, California, to earn his 2012 PGA Tour card. The 24-year-old closed out his round in style, making birdies on the final two holes. Lee shot a brilliant round of 65 a day earlier on the Nicklaus Course.
Last year and just out of college, Richard missed his PGA Tour card by a single shot, but gained full exemption on the Nationwide Tour where he played the 2011 season finishing 37th on the money list.
Born in Chicago in 1987, Lee spent part of his high-school years in Asia, where he focused on a career in golf. After returning to the United States, Richard became an All-American college player during each of his two seasons at the University of Washington and in 2010, won the NCAA Western Regional Championship in runaway fashion.
Earning his PGA Tour card is a dream come true for Lee. “It is a surreal feeling! I have dreamed of playing the PGA Tour since I first started playing golf as a junior and now my dream has come true. 2012 is going to be a very exciting year!”
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to represent Cross,” added Lee. “The clothes feel great, play great, and look great, both on and off the course.”
