Association Of Golf Clubfitting Professionals (AGCP) Introduces New Website

December 15, 2011

COLUMBUS, GA, December 14, 2011 — Roy Nix, Executive Director of the Association of Golf Clubfitting Professionals (AGCP), the world leader in the advancement of custom clubfitting and clubmaking announced today the unveiling of the AGCP’s new web site.

The AGCP introduces a newly designed web site in time for 2012. “It’s a great way to kick off the New Year for our members and for the golfers who visit our site looking for a clubfitter. The new site was designed and assembled by Mick Howe, an AGCP member and staff member. The new AGCP web site has been designed and created around the suggestions of AGCP members over the past year. Members were having problems finding information on our web site and so were golfers, so we have been working for the past year or more on a number of ideas to get everything possible to be only one click of the mouse away for a visitor to the site. Mick spent a lot of time polling members about things to make the site function better and from the feedback we’ve received so far members are pleased with the results,” said Nix. The site can be viewed at www.agcpgolf.com or www.clubfitter.org

The home page is where we try to explain briefly what the AGCP is and we have a huge, very obvious yellow bar across the top linking to our clubfitter locator pages so golfers can find our AGCP fitters. We also have large buttons to click to join the AGCP, and to sign up for our Convention as well as smaller links to our Social pages on the internet. We hope visitors will like us on our social pages. The home page navigation bar leads to the Members page, the Benefits page, the AGCP Sponsors page, the Convention page, our Forum and Blog and our Store. The home page is designed to have a place to click to get the visitor to any benefit or feature of our site and our organization with one mouse click. The visitor to the AGCP web site can find what the AGCP is about, learn about our convention, find an AGCP clubfitter, read our Forum, read our Blog, see who our sponsors are and visit our store to buy our products all from the home page.

On the members page our members can locate fellow clubfitters, visit our password protected Member’s Only pages, Read the requirements for Certification and visit our AGCP masters pages. All this information is only one click away from the Member page.

The Benefits page lists a brief description of the 15 major benefits to being an AGCP member for clubmakers who want to expand their career in clubfitting. Being able to read the major benefits to membership all on one page will allow a clubmaker of clubfitter to decide if the AGCP is right for them.

The Sponsors page lists our supporters and their web sites so our members and the public will know who they are and hopefully purchase their products and support them.

The Convention page is a direct link to our web site about the AGCP annual RT Clubfitter and Clubmaker Convention in Columbus GA. The site offers details about our convention and the schedule, hotel recommendations and other facts about the convention.

The AGCP vBulletin Forum and Blog are the next stop on the navigation bar and links everyone to the AGCP Bulletin Board and Blog. Golfers, clubmakers, clubfitters, industry people, sponsors, everyone can register and participate in our community and read and write on our Forum and read our Blog posts. The Forum consists of two sections, one section is public and anyone can join and participate. The second section is hidden from the public and is only revealed to members and sponsors of the AGCP for their private communications. Members and Sponsors have access to both the public and private sections but the public will only see their section of the Bulletin Board. We invite everyone in the world golfing community to join our bulletin board and talk to us and to one another. Ask questions of our members or our sponsors or of both. The AGCP has nearly 100 members listed by Golf Digest as the Best Clubfitters in America and you can talk to them directly and ask their advice about your golf game or equipment.

Last but not least is the AGCP Store link that clicks directly to the AGCP online store. The AGCP store has the following shopping areas for you to explore for things you want -Register for AGCP RT Convention – Membership Applications & Renewals – AGCP RT Convention DVDs – DVDs – Certification – AGCP Logo Items – Books – Fitting – Club Building Tools, Software, etc. – Training Devices / Fitness – Golf Achiever Launch Monitor, Simulator – Epoxy for club making – Brampton Grip Tape Activator – Lead Tape for clubs – Rattlestop – Glass Shafting Beads – Medicus Training Aids – Golf Accessories – Marketing/Advertising – Sale Items.

We invite you to visit our new web site and tell us what you think. We welcome suggestions and always strive to make our site better if we can.
