(Londonderry, New Hampshire) – Danish brand ECCO – maker of the world’s most comfortable, stylish and technically-advanced footwear – announces that MaryBeth Cobia has been hired as Territory Manager for the ECCO USA Golf Division.
In her new role, Cobia will support key national accounts and oversee the company’s Comfort Tech Van. Dubbed the “WOW Wagon,” this innovative vehicle travels year-round from coast-to-coast promoting awareness of the foot-first approach to shoemaking that distinguishes ECCO from all other brands.
A golf industry veteran, Cobia most recently served as Eastern Regional Sales Manager for Sky Golf. She has also held a range of sales management positions over the past 25 years, including Eastern Region Sales Manager for Team Effort Golf and Southern Regional Sales Manager for Datrek Golf.
“Our team is equally focused on delivering world-class products and service to retail partners in the green grass and off-course sectors,” says David Helter, ECCO USA Specialty Sales Director. “The addition of MaryBeth is integral to that equation. She was selected from a tremendously talented pool of candidates, and will help continue unprecedented market share growth for ECCO by promoting exceptional new products like the BIOM Hybrid performance crossover shoe.”
Golf’s first-ever performance shoe built atop a hybrid outsole, BIOM Hybrid showcases a completely anatomical last developed by scanning more than 2,500 feet. It combines ECCO Natural Motion technology with the company’s patented, award-winning Golf Street outsole. The result pairs the human body’s evolutionary system for absorbing impact with a non-cleated shoe bottom that provides superior durability, comfort, traction and stability on or off the golf course.
ECCO golf shoes are worn in competition by scores of international Tour stars, including Fred Couples, Graeme McDowell, Thomas Bjorn, Stuart Appleby, Thongchai Jaidee, Aaron Baddeley, Thorbjørn Olesen, Andreas Hartø, Belen Mozo, Jennifer Johnson, Gerina Piller and many others.
