Keiser University College Of Golf Honors New Graduates For Academic Achievements

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Keiser University College of Golf honored 12 students for their academic achievements and successful completion of the two-year Associate of Science degree in Golf Management. The students received commemorative pins during a brief ceremony recently held at the school.

Students awarded the congratulatory honor were students Justin Avey of Yorksville, Ill.; James Bartol of Melbourne, Fla.; Alan Diaz of Winter Park, Fla.; Bryce Dipatri of Orange Park, Fla.; Blake Hulett of Machesney Park, Ill.; Jeffrey Mann of Narragansett, R.I.; Justin McComic of Lexington, Tenn.; Kyle Nagle of Allentown, Penn.; Larry Nicodemus of Fort Pierce, Fla.; Zachary Norton of Jacksonville, Fla.; Andrew Welnetz of Greenbay, Wis.; and Duane Wheeler of Morenci, Mich.

Each of the honored students met the required credit hours that included golf club fitting and repair, golf course design and maintenance, retail management, tournament operations, golf history and many other aspects of golf course management and the game overall.

“All of these students share a common passion for the game of golf and have taken their first giant steps to ensure a successful professional career in the golf industry,” says John McMurry, campus vice-president of Keiser University College of Golf. “The entire staff at Keiser University College of Golf is extremely proud of the academic and personal accomplishments of all of our students, and we’re looking forward to seeing them succeed in the field.”

The Keiser University College of Golf features a 20,000-square-foot facility includes a 1,500-square-foot indoor putting green, advanced launch monitor technology, TaylorMade MAT-T swing analysis system, an interactive golf simulator provided by ForeGolf powered by SIRGUL, and a golf club repair lab equipped by Mitchell Golf Equipment. Students also receive access to the highly acclaimed PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance where they can practice on a 35-acre lighted practice range, short game areas, bunker facility and extensive putting greens. Keiser University College of Golf also gives students daily access to PGA Master Professionals, such as Brian Hughes and Dr. Eric Wilson, as well as Golf Magazine Top 100 teacher T.J. Tomasi, Ph.d.

Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Golf Management prepares students for a variety of positions in the golf industry. In this program, students are prepared to provide golf instruction, manage golf course operations, ensure appropriate maintenance of golf facilities and equipment, as well as integrate the play of golf into the broader hospitality and recreation domain.
