Boutique owner, operator expands Florida portfolio to six clubs
(FORT WORTH, Tex.) – Escalante Golf – owner and operator of luxury golf properties – has acquired The Club at Grand Haven in Palm Coast, Fla. from Crescent Resources.
Located in the 1,400-acre master-planned Grand Haven community, The Club at Grand Haven features a private Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course named one of the “Top 100 Golf Courses in North America” by LINKS Magazine. Winding along the Intracoastal Waterway, the par-72 stretches to nearly 7,100 yards from the back tees, providing a challenging but fair test for golfers of all abilities.
“The Club at Grand Haven is one of the region’s best golf courses and we are honored to be part of the exceptional Grand Haven community,” says David McDonald, president of Escalante golf. “We are very excited about this acquisition and adding to our growing portfolio of luxury properties. We are firm believers in the Florida golf market and look forward to furthering The Club at Grand Haven’s reputation as one of the premier private club experiences in the state.”
The acquisition of The Club at Grand Haven expands Escalante’s Florida footprint to include six clubs. Other Escalante owned and managed Florida properties include Black Diamond Ranch (Lecanto); Spanish Wells Country Club (Bonita Springs); Tarpon Cove Yacht & Racquet Club (Naples); Kingsgate Golf Club (Port Charlotte); and Waterlefe Golf & River Club (Bradenton).
“This is terrific news for the community of Grand Haven,” says Keith Glenn, vice president of Crescent Resources. “Escalante Golf has an exceptional reputation for its service mentality and operational acumen. Escalante owns and manages some of the premier clubs in the country and we are excited a company of their caliber has chosen to invest in Grand Haven.”
In the last three years, Escalante’s portfolio has grown from four to 14 properties, many of which are the most prestigious clubs in their respected markets, including Raven at Three Peaks (Silverthorne, Co.), The Crosby National (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.); and Country Club of the North (Beavercreek, Ohio).
