Full House In The Apparel Hall As Fashion Takes Center Stage At The 2012 PGA Merchandise Show

All the top market leaders, industry apparel icons and fresh newcomers

are utilizing multiple fashion platforms during PGA Show Week.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The top names in golf fashion are joined by fresh newcomers to fill the Apparel Hall and present an exclusive preview of the newest styles and trends at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 26-28, in Orlando, Fla. Golf fashion leaders are utilizing multiple PGA Show platforms to introduce new lines to influential PGA Professionals and retailers representing resorts, clubs, specialty retailers and mass merchandisers from around the world.

The new PGA Show Fashion E Studio, Fashion Showcase, plus in-booth special events such as fashion shows, celebrity and designer appearances and buyer receptions complement a full schedule of vendor events during PGA Show Week.

Many apparel companies are taking advantage of the new PGA Show Fashion E-Studio which will provide an exciting interactive destination showcasing the latest golf fashion, styles, colors, fabrics, performance and trends from the leading brands in the industry. Argy Koutsothanasis, fashion director of Fitness Magazine, and Annmarie Dodd, a leading voice in the golf fashion industry, are returning to host live fashion presentations throughout PGA Show Week and highlight category killers, fitness apparel must-haves and the hottest trends in apparel and accessories. Many vendor presentations will be streamed to a virtual audience on PGAShow.com, PGA.com and partner sites. The Fashion E Studio is surrounded by multiple apparel, accessory and footwear showcase displays, making it a comprehensive, one-stop collection of the latest fashion trends. To date, participating vendors include Divots Sportswear, Ecco Inc., USA, GEAR for Sports, Kartel Inc., Kikkor Golf, Loudmouth Golf, Luxxe Activewear, Ogio, OKA b., Puma, Quagmire, Sport Haley/Ben Hogan, Straight Down Clothing, Toby Tucker and Zero Restriction.

Additionally, market leaders like Cobra Puma Golf and Callaway Golf are making fashion statements of their own at the PGA Merchandise Show. In addition to celebrity events within their booth and at the PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day, Cobra Puma Golf will host an Opening Day fashion show on the PGA Forum Stage, on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 3:00 p.m. featuring Lexi Thompson, Anna Nordqvist, Blair O’Neal and Diego Velasquez. Callaway Golf will display its 2012 footwear, apparel and accessories collections and the company will host four exciting fashion shows of their 2012 Fall Lines on Thursday and Friday at their new, unified exhibit located centrally on the Show floor. AHEAD returns to debut its fall 2012 men’s and women’s apparel lines, and its popular headwear line. The annual AHEAD Hat Drop annually draws a crowd to its booth and is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 27, at 5:00 p.m.

Apparel vendors are among some 1,000 golf companies and brands representing every sector of golf that will introduce new products and merchandising programs to more than 40,000 attending PGA Professionals, retailers and industry leaders who come to the PGA Merchandise Show from some 75 countries around the world. About the PGA Merchandise Show

The 2012 PGA Merchandise Show, held January 26-28, in Orlando, Fla., will welcome some 1,000 top golf companies and brands and more than 40,000 industry professionals from around the world to the industry’s 59th annual global summit for the business of golf. Outdoor Demo Day, the world’s largest professional golf testing event, tees off the Show on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Orange County National Golf Center. During Show days, PGA Professionals, retailers and industry leaders will uncover the latest trends, source the newest golf merchandise, test the latest equipment, learn proven business best practices, network among peers and move forward the business of the game.
