LAKE MARY, FL – Timacuan Golf Club located just north of Orlando has been selected to host a PGA Pro-Pro Series tournament during the week of the annual PGA Merchandise Show.
The Pro-Pro Series will visit this Ron Garl-designed course on Tuesday, January 25. The Pro-Pro Series is comprised of several events during PGA Show Week, and PGA golf professionals choose a tournament that fits their schedule or course preference. Each event consists of two-man teams. PGA Magazine and PGA Golf Exhibitions are the Series’ sponsors.
Also, the event at Timacuan is being co-sponsored by CertiFresh Cigar. Every CertiFresh® cigar comes individually packaged in a specially coated sleeve with a Humidipak® insert. The disposable Humidipak® insert is the only two-way device that keeps the cigar at a perfect 69 percent humidity for up to one year. This allows golf courses to do away with space-eating and laborious humidors, and sell cigars from any location – the pro shop, beverage cart, bar & grille, card room, halfway house, etc.
Timacuan is located near Interstate 4, just minutes from downtown Orlando. It features a private-club experience at a semi-private facility.
Timacuan serves up two diverse nine hole designs, and a well-conditioned course throughout. It has ranked as high as No. 14 in the state of Florida. Timacuan’s second hole, a par 4 that plays 421 yards from the tip and requires two carries over water hazards, has been named among the most difficult hole in Central Florida by several publications.
Timacuan’s clubhouse also features one of the largest and most flexible meeting facilities in the region. It is a terrific place to host a corporate outing, charity golf event or wedding.
