Non-Golf Companies Dominate The TV Advertising Categories Of The 19th Annual ING Industry Honors

January 23, 2012

LAKE MARY, FL (January 23, 2012) – Five of the six finalists in the two TV Commercial categories of the 19th ING Industry Honors are not directly involved in the golf industry. Instead, they are tapping into the impressive demographic served up.

FedEx, Kia and McGladrey make up the final ballot of the Individual Commercials category, and Dove Men Care, MasterCard and LPGA are finalists in the Commercial Series category.

Hundreds of nominations from across the golf industry have been trimmed by sub-committees to three nominees in each category in the ING Industry Honors awards program. Winners in a dozen categories are decided by an electronic vote of the ING membership.

Nominees will be acknowledged and winners announced at the Industry Honors Presentation Press Conference January 27 at 1 p.m. at the PGA Merchandise Show in ClubING, Room 309.

A Q&A with LPGA Tour star Paula Creamer follows the presentation, and both events are open to all PGA Show attendees. The ING Industry Honors committee chair is Holly Geoghegan of Golf Marketing Services.

Here are finalists:

TELEVISION – INDIVIDUAL COMMERCIAL

FedEx Cup – Club Shipping (How did you get so dirty?)

Kia – With Michelle Wie

McGladrey – Lighten The Load

TELEVISION – COMMERCIAL SERIES

Dove Men Care – Comfortable In Your Skin

LPGA – See Why It Is Different Out Here

MasterCard 4’somes On Various Golf Trips – Priceless
