LPGA star and 2004 Women’s British Open Championship winner will be
introduced at 2012 PGA Show
CHICAGO, Jan. 24, 2012 – Wilson Golf, the Chicago-based company with more Major victories than any other golf club manufacturer (61), today announced that it has signed a deal with LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour (LET) Player Karen Stupples to represent the company as a Wilson Staff Advisory Member. Stupples, a native of Kent, England, joins PGA Tour stars Ricky Barnes, Kevin Streelman and three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington as a Wilson Staff Advisory Member.

The terms of the contract, finalized at the beginning of the 2012 season, ensures that Stupples will play Wilson Staff FG Tour V2 irons and FG Tour wedges and carry the distinctive red and white Wilson Staff bag. As a Wilson Staff Advisory Member, Stupples will also be heavily involved in the development of future equipment.

Stupples finished the 2011 season ranked 29th on the LPGA Official Money List and finished with two top-ten finishes including a T4 at the Navistar LPGA Classic and a T9 at the Avnet LPGA Classic. In 2011, Stupples also lead the LPGA Tour in eagles with 12 and competed in her second European Solheim Cup to help recapture the Cup for the European Team. A two-time winner on both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour (LET), Stupples celebrated her greatest accomplishment by winning the Women’s British Open Championship in 2004.
Stupples will make her first appearance as a Wilson Staff Advisory Member on January 26 at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla. She will be at the Wilson Staff booth (booth W202B) to sign autographs and conduct media interviews from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
