Anaheim, CA – MATRIX will release its newest creation, SHOTMATE voice GPS, at the 2012 PGA show. The SHOTEMATE voice GPS is a miniaturized unit that easily clips to a hat or belt, and provides distance to the hole by voice in either yards or meters with the click of a button. SHOTMATE features over 22,000 courses pre-loaded on the device with updates provided free of charge. Additionally, the easy to use design of the SHOTMATE voice GPS uses a one click design to measure the length of shots at any point from tee to green, including driving distance. SHOTMATE voice GPS also offers up to a nine hour battery life to last through even the longest days on the course.
“When we decided to go ahead with the concept, we wanted to create a product that would mirror what we have done in our core business of designing shafts. It had to be premium and serve a purpose by being different in a useful way. SHOTMATE is a whole new type of golf GPS not just because we have made it more simplified and easier to use. It is novel in many respects, most notably that it is the size of a matchbook and incredibly light. We have also added the attraction of very aggressive pricing in that the unit will retail for less than half of what most golf GPS units sell for. Since it can be clipped to a hat,” says MATRIX head of R&D, Daniel You, “SHOTMATE frees players from the often shared cart GPS and from carrying brick-like old technology while away from it.”
Complete information about SHOTMATE as well as several of its developers will be at the MATRIX PGA show room, W304F, to answer any questions and to provide demonstrations. MATRIX will also be taking pre-orders at the show.
