LPGA tour star at booth 1963 starting 2:30pm on Friday, January 27
(Londonderry, New Hampshire) – Danish brand ECCO – maker of the world’s most comfortable, stylish and technically-advanced footwear – announces that LPGA Tour star Belén Mozo will appear at its booth (#1963) starting at 2:30pm on Friday, January 27 and confirms the launch of a Mystery Shopper program taking place throughout this week’s PGA Merchandise Show.
One of the LPGA Tour’s most engaging and fashionable players, Mozo recently received international acclaim for being featured in The Body Issue of ESPN the Magazine. The 23-year-old Spaniard will be available to sign autographs and speak with fans and industry insiders about her passion for style and the game.
ECCO will also have a Mystery Shopper at locations throughout the Orange County Convention Center distributing ECCO-branded merchandise and Platinum Tour Cards to Show attendees wearing ECCO shoes.
“Belén is a remarkable athlete with a keen eye for fashion whose look fits perfectly with our industry-leading women’s collection,” says David Helter, Specialty Sales Director, ECCO USA. “Her presence at our booth, along with the Mystery Shopper program, is going to generate a lot of additional ECCO buzz at this year’s Show.”
Recognized worldwide for her game, beauty and personality, Mozo finished 67th on the 2011 LPGA Tour money list as a rookie, while also competing on the Ladies European Tour. Her early professional success was preceded by one of the best amateur careers in recent memory. This included becoming the first player since 1972 to win the Women’s British Amateur Championship and British Girls Amateur Championship in the same year. Mozo was also a four-time All-American at the University of Southern California and a top player on the school’s 2008 NCAA National Champion squad.
“Choosing your shoes is half about how it feels and half about how it looks – with ECCO I know I’m getting the best of both!” says Mozo. “I mean, anyone who’s ever played in the Street can tell you how much comfort and stability they provide.”
