New York (Jan. 17, 2012) – Uniting Future Legends (UFL) – a division of Alpine Creations – will debut its new spring and summer collection of functional, sleek golf-centric apparel on Jan. 26-28, 2012, at Booth 3989 of the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla. Visitors to the booth will also get a sneak preview of the Fall 2012 collection.
“The PGA Merchandise Show is the premier golf trade show in the world, and we are excited to be a part of it for the first time,” said Ashok Mahtani, group chairman of Alpine Creations. “Our new line, highlighted by our Faldo Series clothing, is our first to target the American consumer. UFL apparel is currently sold online and at the pro shops across Asia, and we look forward to bringing it to the U.S. in 2012.”
In 2010, UFL forged a three-year partnership with the Faldo Series Asia to become the sole apparel provider for the amateur golf series that seeks to nurture the region’s future golf legends.
“Faldo Series Asia competitors have had a unique opportunity to help develop a line of clothes that they and their peers are now wearing,” said Sir Nick Faldo, a six-time Major Champion. “We thank UFL for its support of the Series and welcome this level of collaboration between our partners and our players.”
This year’s spring and summer collection takes a distinct Americana direction, with styles and colors reminiscent of the vibrancy of baseball and other American pastimes. Nostalgic color combinations include patriotic red, white and blue along with more natural elements and key item neutrals.
UFL offers a diverse range of trendy sports and casual apparel in wovens, knits and outwear, all made from a well-respected fabric library of technical and performance textiles that add to the value of these fashionable pieces. Many of the garments offer moisture-wicking technology, sun-reflecting UV protection and even anti-microbial management.
The UFL team has created the spring and summer line with the environment and performance in mind. UFL uses several sustainable materials, including:
Coffee yarn garments – derived from recycled coffee grounds
Organic bamboo and charcoal yarns
Sorona (corn derivative) blends
Polyester yarn from recycled plastic bottles
The spring and summer collection also stands out with its distinctive styling. The clothing line features movement and ventilation elements like underarm mesh, cape-backs and gussets. The UFL team paid special attention to fit and comfort – jackets have draw cords, pants come with high quality grippers and adjustable leg widths, and mini-skirts feature compression bloomers.
