Rochester, Minn. – Kurtis Pitcher, CCM, CCE General Manager/COO of the Somerby Golf Club in Byron, Minnesota, achieved the designation of “Certified Chief Executive” (CCE) with the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA). Pitcher was approved by the Certification Committee of CMAA after successfully meeting requirements in club management experience, education and association activity. He joins a very select group of club managers worldwide who have attained this honor.
Pitcher qualified for the CCE designation by maintaining Active membership in CMAA, obtaining Honor Society status, completing Business Management Institute (BMI) IV and V, serving as the top executive in a club for a minimum of five years. Through the certification program, CMAA encourages the education and advancement of its members and assists club officers and members in securing the most efficient and successful club operations available.
