FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., February 9, 2012…On the heels of the successful 2011 Think Golf It’s Friday Tour (TGIF TOUR™), reaching more than 55,000 golfers across the country, Edwin Watts Golf Shops, LLC, (EWGS), one of the world’s largest specialty golf retailers, today announced the 2012 TGIF TOUR™ with a full schedule of more than 70 weekend events. The 2012 TGIF TOUR™, encompassing a breadth of interactive activities, including new product testing, custom fittings, par 3 challenges, player appearances and much more, tees off this Friday and Saturday, February 10-11, at the Boca Raton location on Yamato Rd., directly across the street from the Allianz Championship.
All TGIF TOUR™ events, which are free and open to the public, will be highlighted by a series of exciting interactive activities, providing consumers with the opportunity to test out the latest new product innovations from golf’s leading brands, tune-up their game with performance club & ball fittings, register to win an assortment of prizes, enjoy special deals and much more. In addition, several PGA TOUR stars will make appearances at select locations throughout the year, sports radio stations will conduct live broadcasts, the leading equipment manufacturers will support the events with their retail and TOUR vans on-site, while providing an assortment of giveaways, and an expansive social media campaign will support each respective event.
Representatives from TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Mizuno, Adams, Cobra and other leading brands will be on-site at the Yamato Road location in Boca Raton. Additionally, the Odyssey Tour Van will be on-site Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and consumers will have the opportunity to experience a custom fitting in the van, just like a Tour Player. Highlighted giveaways, compliments of TaylorMade, include a Dustin Johnson autographed visor, and hats autographed by Camilo Villegas, Sean O’Hair and Justin Rose.
