BETHEL, Me. (February 13, 2012) – P3ProSwing™ (www.p3proswing.com), an award-winning golf-swing analyzer, instructional aid and simulator, is seeking Beta testers for its new online play feature, introduced at last month’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla.
“We look forward to having our new online-play feature tested by a large number of players with varying skills and different kinds of computers before we release the final version of the software to the public,” said Jay Russo, managing partner of P3ProSwing. “When the final software version is released, P3ProSwing users will be able to play golf online against one another, playing on any of our 41 virtual golf courses and competing with players from around the world.”
With the unlocking of the handshake server, P3ProSwing’s online play feature is functional for golfers who have the most recent versions of P3ProSwing’s virtual golf courses and operating software.
Golfers who own P3ProSwing units and virtual course packs who are interested in Beta testing the online play feature should contact P3ProSwing’s marketing director, Daniel Kany, at dkany@p3proswing.com by March 31st.
About P3ProSwing
Highly accurate, versatile and portable, P3ProSwing, launched in 2003, is in use by thousands of golf instructors, club fitters and individual golfers throughout the U.S. and abroad. P3ProSwing’s extensive optional features include launch angle and video capture (with white-board drawing and illustration features) – further enhancing its in-depth swing analysis information. P3ProSwing offers instructors, club fitters and players a comprehensive understanding of individual swings, leading to better practice, performance and play.
Aside from its use for swing analysis and club fitting, P3ProSwing also includes a practice package with three competitive features: long drive, closest-to-the-pin and hole-in-one contests.
Recognized for its easy-to-use quality and superior design, P3ProSwing is based on an extraordinarily precise infrared-based unit, with 65 sensors and high-tech graphics, which measures the metrics of the club. From the measured swing data, the ball flight is calculated – making P3ProSwing an unusually accurate simulator on which golfers can use their own clubs and hit real golf balls. The result is that P3ProSwing’s online play is an uncanny reflection of players’ performance on actual golf courses.
P3ProSwing, used with a computer and a digital video camera, allows golfers to receive instant feedback with any club, with or without a golf ball. Measurements include club-face angle, swing path, angle of attack, hit distance, club-head speed and swing tempo. Shots may be practiced from any location on the simulated golf courses. Computer graphics show the ball’s flight path and actual landing location, whether in the rough, on the fairway or the green. Players may practice on the putting green or on the driving range; the advanced golfer may hone in on draws or fades. The system allows up to a foursome to play a round of golf on a selected golf course, with the opportunity to add more courses.
