Sanford, FL – After a full one year hiatus from having full time representation on the Champions Tour, RIFE Putters was back for the first time this week and captured a 2nd Place Finish at the Allianz Championship held in Boca Raton, FL.
It was nearly a victory celebration, as two players were tied at 11 under after the final round, but the 2nd Place Finisher was defeated on the 1st hole of a sudden death playoff.
“We’re very excited to have our rep back out on the Champions Tour full time,” said Robby Hipp, Director of Development for RIFE Putters, “and this was a great first week for us. We had several putters in play and managed to capture a 2nd Place and a T-7th Place Finish. More importantly, the Tour Players were excited to see us back. So we expect to have a lot more putters in play over the next few weeks.”
RIFE had several putters in play at The Allianz Championship including the Aussie, Barbados, Cayman Brac, 2 Bar Blade, 2 Bar Mallet and the 2 Bar Hybrid. RIFE’s combined earnings for the event were $254,196.00
RIFE’s new line of putters for 2012 include its award winning Island Series models: the Abaco, Aruba, Cayman Brac and Trinidad, which are all recent recipients of a 2012 Golf Digest Hot List Award.
All of these Island Series putters will be available in either a Standard Silver Finish or in RIFE’s brand new Tropical Finish. This Tropical Finish is created by using a vacuum “Ti” plating process” on the head of the putter. A broad spectrum of colors emanate from this deep rich gunmetal like finish creating a “rainbow effect” depending upon how the light hits it. The new finish has other benefits aside from its eye-catching appearance. The finish prevents oxidization, increases hardness and makes the putter very wear-resistant.
About Rife Putters
RIFE Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. RIFE Putters states, “just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face.” Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGrooveTM faced putters create the truest “no skid” roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
