New York, NY – February 15, 2012 – The Family Golf Challenge, a new skills competition for families will be staged at The Honda Classic at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, March 1- 4. The PGA TOUR Superstore has signed-on as “presenting sponsor” of the competition and will supply gift certificates for the winners of the long drive and putting challenges.

The entry-fee to compete in the competition is $10.00 per team / per challenge with a 33% donation going to The First Tee of The Palm Beaches. Re-entries are $5.00 for each challenge and competitors can re-enter as many times as they want over the course of tournament play.

About The Family Golf Challenge
The Family Golf Challenge is an amateur skills competition designed to engage families in a sports and leisure-time activity which bonds the family unit in a fun, rewarding and philanthropic experience. The competition is open for participation to two-member teams comprised of Adults and Juniors, as well as, Male and Female Singles in age groups (7-11), (12-14) and an “Open” 15+ category. The best team and single in seventeen (17) total categories will win prizes.
