GALLOWAY, N.J. – February 21, 2012 – Seaview – A Dolce Resort, a Troon Golf-managed facility and one of the premier resort destinations in the Northeast, today announced that Brian Rashley has been promoted to Head PGA Golf Professional, and Michael Bair has been named Director of Agronomy.
In his new position, Rashley will be responsible for managing retail merchandising, outings and tournaments, and overall golf shop operations. Rashley has been an integral part of the Seaview golf team since May 2008, serving as the Assistant Golf Professional and Teaching Professional. During his tenure at Seaview, Rashley was instrumental in developing a ladies league/clinic and a junior program, as well as implementing a variety of instructional programs that supported growth of the game initiatives such as Play Golf America Days.
Prior to coming to Seaview Golf Resort, Rashley spent one year at the Faldo Golf Institute in Orlando, where he served as Assistant Golf Professional and successfully completed the Faldo Instructional Certification Program. Preceding his time at Faldo, he served as Junior Golf Instructor at Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Va. Rashley was elected to PGA Membership in 2010, and is a graduate of Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C.
In related news, Michael Bair has joined the golf team at Seaview as the Director of Agronomy. In this position, Bair will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, including course maintenance, repair, and landscaping for all of the golf grounds, including the Bay Course, home of the 2012 ShopRite LPGA Classic. Bair comes to the 36-hole facility from Colonial Country Club in Harrisburg, Pa., where he spent five years as Superintendent. Throughout his golf career, Bair has held positions at various high profile courses throughout the country, including Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., which has hosted the U.S. Senior Open, and Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md., which annually hosts the AT&T National PGA Tour event, and has hosted the PGA Championship and the U.S. Open.
“With the Northeast golf season starting soon, I’m pleased to announce these changes to the golf team,” said Kevin DeDonato, PGA Director of Golf, Seaview Golf Resort. “Brian has been a valued member of our golf staff for several years, and is a natural fit to serve as our Head Golf Professional. And we are thrilled that Michael is joining us as Director of Agronomy. His experience maintaining courses that host high profile events will be invaluable as we prepare the Bay Course for the 2012 ShopRite LPGA Classic.”
