North Stonington, Conn., Feb. 23, 2012 – Lake of Isles announced today that Stephen Kahler has been named Head Golf Professional of the North and South Courses.
“Stephen will be an outstanding addition to the Lake of Isles team,” said Archie Cart, general manager, Lake of Isles. “His managerial skills combined with his knowledge of the golf business and the Troon philosophy will be strong assets to our facility.”
Kahler comes to Lake of Isles from Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz., which is also a Troon Golf managed property. Prior to Southern Dunes, he worked as an assistant golf professional at Octotillo Golf Resort in Ariz., and also worked for the Southwest Section PGA. A graduate of Arizona State University, Kahler has been a Class A member of the PGA since 2008.
As head golf professional, Kahler will oversee the day-to-day operations of the North and South course, manage the golf staff and the award-winning golf shop.
A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Kahler and his wife Audrey have relocated to Old Saybrook, Conn.
