Gallagher benefit services, Lincoln Financial Group join insurance program
CHARLESTON, S.C. (Feb. 27, 2012) – NGCOA members may now qualify for additional savings and premium rate guarantees on group life, short-term disability and long-term disability insurance through the NGCOA’s Insurance Program.
The new benefits and services are offered through Gallagher Benefit Services, a division of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., and Lincoln Financial Group, the NGCOA’s preferred insurance providers of group life, short-term disability and long-term disability insurance.
Qualifying NGCOA members will receive a guaranteed 15 percent savings on the current premium rates or any applicable renewal rates offered by their current carrier. The program also includes a two-year premium rate guarantee on group life, short-term and long-term disability insurance. Long-term disability insurance offerings include voluntary life insurance, critical illness and accident insurance products.
Groups with 20 to 400 employees are eligible for the savings on group life and long-term disability insurance. Groups with 20 to 200 employees are eligible for the savings on short-term disability insurance. Groups outside of that range will be looked at on an individual basis to determine their potential savings.

NGCOA members can also purchase wedding cancellation insurance and travel insurance through NGCOA’s preferred broker of property and casualty insurance, Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, in conjunction with Allied Insurance.
Wedding cancellation insurance provides coverage if the wedding is cancelled or postponed because of a number of circumstances, including weather, illness and injury.
Benefits designed to protect NGCOA members and their customers when traveling are now offered through the new travel insurance program. In addition to standard travel benefits such as trip cancellation and trip interruption, NGCOA members who choose the coverage are protected against the loss of prepaid green fees if the trip is cancelled for eligible reasons.
