The m-Caddy Mobile Golf Management Suite Selected For Use By Canada’s Largest Golf Facility

March 2, 2012

Burlington, Ontario, Canada (March 2, 2012) – The m-Caddy mobile suite, developed by Sports Mobile Strategies, has been selected by Cardinal Golf Club, in Newmarket, Ontario. Cardinal is Canada’s largest golf facility, with 72 holes of golf including: three 18 hole championship courses, an 18 hole executive course, large driving range, 18 hole mini-putt, C.P.G.A. staffed Golf Academy, and two unique Clubhouses.

Cardinal will be utilizing the entire m-Caddy mobile suite which includes:

• mobile Tee Time Confirmation system

• mobile App with social integration

• mobile Golf Pro

• mobile Marketing

“We are excited to have Cardinal on board using the m-Caddy mobile suite. As the largest golf facility in Canada they will see a tremendous decline in the number of no-shows with the use of our mobile tee time confirmation system and will now be able to connect with their golfers using the most effective method, on their mobile device”, says Barry Forth, CEO of Sports Mobile Strategies.

The m-Caddy Tee Time Confirmation system integrates with the tee time reservation software golf courses currently use, and sends an automated text message to the golfer 24 hours before their tee time. The system prompts the golfer to reply with the number of confirmed golfers, and either confirms the tee time, or automatically adjusts the booking based on a modified or cancelled tee time, opening up valuable tee time inventory that would have otherwise gone as a no show.

“When you book an appointment with your dentist or doctor, you always get a phone call the day before to confirm your appointment, however in the golf industry this practice has never been used. Golf courses turn away golfers wanting to book tee times the day before a sunny day, and then watch as their revenues diminish every time there is a no-show”, says Forth. “Many clubs run between a 10-20% no-show rate, meaning no-shows can climb to 100 golfers or more per week. At an average green fee of $40, no-shows are costing golf courses tens of thousands of dollars each month, in green fee revenue alone”.
