PGA And European Tour Golfer Alex Cejka Signs Exclusive Deal To Wear G/Fore Gloves On Both Pro Tours

March 8, 2012

Los Angeles, CA — G/FORE announced today that PGA and European Tour golfer Alex Cejka has signed an exclusive one-year deal with the colourful glove maker. Cejka joins the likes of PGA Tour favorite Ricky Barnes, Champions golfer Tommy Armour III and LPGA Tour rookie sensation Kathleen Ekey on G/FORE’s growing roster of stylish player-partners.

Born in Czechoslovakia, Cejka discovered the game at an early age, playing at one of the few courses to survive his homeland’s Communist rule. His family fled the former Czech Republic when he was 9, taking up residence in Germany. A disciplined golfer, Cejka worked his way onto the European Tour in 1994, and has played on the PGA Tour since 2002. Last year, he played on both tours, and will do so again for 2012.

“I love colour — some people might even call my taste ‘crazy’ or ‘funky’ — but I think it’s all in good fun. That’s why I love G/FORE gloves: They’re the perfect way for me to accessorize my look,” says Cejka, who now calls Las Vegas home. “I’ve worn G/FORE on courses around the world, and I know for a fact that not only are they really cool looking gloves, they perform at the professional level.”

Cejka enters this season coming off of a string of spectacular 2011 performances, including a 2nd-place finish in the World Cup with partner Martin Kaymer, a top-15 finish at the Bob Hope Classic, and a top-8 finish at the South African Open Championship. Over the course of his career thus far, Cejka also counts 11 international victories and top-10 finishes at both the U.S. Open and the Players Championship among his many accomplishments.

“From his life story to his on-course abilities, Alex is an inspiring golfer with great style — we’re excited to have him wear G/FORE on both the PGA and European Tours this year,” says Mossimo Giannulli, fashion designer and founder of G/FORE. “As more pros around the world discover G/FORE, I think we’re proving our gloves don’t just look great, and aren’t just amazingly comfortable and fun, but they’re also seriously high-performance gloves trusted by serious, professional players.”
