Pinehurst, NC – March 07, 2012 – GolfNet, a leader in golf handicap and tournament management systems, announced today that it will provide software services to allow the United States Seniors’ Golf Association to retrieve golf handicap information for their members from the USSGA’s web-based tournament management program.
The USSGA is believed to be the world’s oldest golf organization devoted exclusively to seniors. They run fourteen tournaments annually across the United States. Per the agreement, the USSGA tournament system will be able to retrieve the latest USGA Handicap Indexes™ for all members who maintain golf handicaps through GolfNet.
“The USSGA is a prestigious organization with a rich history,” says Greg Kelly, Vice President of Association Services, GolfNet. “It’s great to know that many GolfNet customers are USSGA members. We’ll do everything we can to assist the USSGA with their tournament preparation.”
“Many members keep their handicaps under the GolfNet system so the tournament host still had to do legwork to verify those handicaps,” says Pip Danby, Technology Director, USSGA. “This integration will save us time and effort.”
