DENVER, Colorado (March 9, 2012) – Joe Assell, CEO, President, and co-founder of GolfTEC, the world leader in golf improvement, will be a featured speaker at the 10th annual Rocky Mountain Corporate Growth Conference, to be held March 13-14, 2012, in Englewood, Colorado.
The conference, focusing on the theme “Leading Resilient Growth,” will celebrate successful business leaders who have seized new opportunities and prospered despite continuing economic ups and downs.
Assell, who co-founded GolfTEC in 1995, has a compelling growth story to tell. The company’s system-wide sales are up 500% between August 2005 and August 2011.
GolfTEC’s same-store sales growth is no less impressive: In fiscal 2010, sales-store sales-that’s without opening any new improvement centers, simply how existing centers are increasing sales-grew 13.4%; in 2011, the rate of growth was 15%. And in 2012, only five months into the company’s fiscal year, same-sales growth is already up 8.1%, with the height of the golf season yet to come.
January 2012 was GolfTEC’s 29th straight month of same-store sales growth.
GolfTEC will be the subject of the conference’s opening session, being held on Tuesday, March 13, at 9 am. Presented as a “fireside chat” entitled “Innovating Growth,” Assell will discuss how GolfTEC gained its dominant market share, has regularly grown sales at double-digit rates, and jumped from a start-up with one employee to more than 500 employees and projected sales of $60 million in 2012. Moderating the session will be Dorothy Donnelly, National Marketing Director, Hein & Associates LLP.
The conference’s keynote speech will be delivered by Carly Fiorina, former Chairman and CEO of Hewlett-Packard, the first woman to lead a Fortune 20 company.
The Rocky Mountain Corporate Growth Conference, sponsored by Association for Corporate Growth/Denver, the region’s premier business association, will be held at The Inverness Hotel, in Englewood, Colorado.
