(CARMEL, CA, March 13, 2012) The Shivas Irons Society today announced that its fundraising auction is online and active. The auction features opportunities to play golf at several of the world’s most celebrated courses including a number of US Open and other amateur and professional major championship venues. Available, too, is an eclectic array of other items including golf and sports memorabilia, golf art and photography and collectible books.
Featured items include: hosted rounds of golf at the exclusive Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles, Boston Golf Club (a Gil Hanse design), and The Meadow Club, the Alister MacKenzie masterpiece in Fairfax, CA, north of San Francisco; a seven-night stay for skiing (or golf) at a luxurious duplex condo at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort in Steamboat Springs, Colorado; a private playing lesson with renown mental coach Dr. Joseph Parent, author of the best selling book Zen Golf and much, much more.
The Shivas Irons Society is a 501(c)3 charitable organization with members throughout the United States and around the world. Its mission is to provide opportunities for community, discovery and transformation through golf. Membership is open to all. Proceeds of the auction will benefit the Society’s activities including the Youth Scholarship Fund and the Golf Dreams Project. The amount of winning bids in excess of the “fair market value” of auction items are tax-deductible (US Only).
