IRVINE, CA – MARCH 15, 2011 – FOURTEEN GOLF, the worldwide leader in wedge design with now 37 professional tour victories in the past several tour seasons, announced today that the company has notched seven Top-10 finishes within the first three 2012 LPGA events and one international victory in New Zealand.

FOURTEEN GOLF had 29 wedges in play at the Women’s Australian Open. In addition, these wedges were credited with a tie for second, seventh, and tie for tenth place. According to FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda, “Our company, its wedges, and focus are global. We are extremely pleased to see we are succeeding and proud to see this worldwide acceptance.”

At the HSBC Women’s Championship, FOURTEEN GOLF wedges were played to capture a second place finish as well as a tie for eighth place. A fourth place finish and tie for ninth place were attained at the Honda LPGA Thailand also using FOURTEEN GOLF wedges.

“The LPGA Tour has provided FOURTEEN GOLF with some astonishing results. In 2010 FOURTEEN GOLF placed a Top-10 in EVERY LPGA event. We appreciate these LPGA Touring Professionals for their loyalty and continued support,” added Kamoda.

A victory at the ISPS Handa New Zealand marked the company’s first 2012 victory. This win was achieved playing a FOURTEEN GOLF MT-V5 Wedge in three different lofts – a 50, 54, and 58 degrees. The Australian champion shot a final round four-under 68 to finish at 10-under 206. Spectators and viewing audience saw first hand how her wedges repeatedly set her up for birdie putts.

The highly popular MT-28 V5 represents a long legacy of winning wedges. Its predecessor, the MT-28 V4 is known on several professional Tours as the “go to club” or the “money maker.” Its exceptional performance has positioned FOURTEEN as the wedge authority.

This classically designed wedge features the signature FOURTEEN “reverse taper design” but has been improved by adding a groove strategically located in between the club sole and blade portion of the wedge. This structural change allowed the engineers to move the CG to a higher more stabilizing position for more precise shots.

The sole of the MT-28 V5 possesses a flatter shape with a trailing edge and heel relief. This new dynamic combination allows any player to fully utilize the club’s bounce and execute pure or solid shots out of any type of rough.

The MT-28 V5 boasts a rounded leading edge that promotes confidence at address and its clubface has been engineered so that the player can easily open or close the face. The head is manufactured with a Nickel chrome molybdenum alloy which conforms to the 2010 USGA club regulations. It is available in both a chrome and non-plated black finish.

In preparation for the new groove policy on the professional tours such as the PGA and LPGA, the company spent years engineering a new trapezoidal shaped groove for the MT-28 V5 Wedge. This distinctively sharp-edged trapezoidal groove helps produce spin as well as control.

The professionally designed MT-28 V5 comes in a variety of lofts, a 48, 50, 52, 54, 56 (2), 58 (2) and a 60 degree. Two steel shafts, a Dynamic Golf and NS Pro 950GH are available. A proprietary rubber grips finishes these classic wedges.

FOURTEEN GOLF understands the importance of the short game, this significant portion of the game has created an unprecedented demand on most tours for their signature series of wedges. The company prides itself on the ten titles won this year using their short game arsenal.

FOURTEEN GOLF is a burgeoning golf equipment company that takes great pride in their tour program. This year FOURTEEN GOLF officially signed

Japanese golfing prodigy and PGA Professional Ryuji Imada to a three year endorsement deal which includes a staff bag, head covers, hat, umbrella and wedges. He joins FOURTEEN GOLF team members PGA Professionals Chad Collins and Arjun Atwal.
