BALTIMORE, MD. – March 21, 2012 – STX Golf, world-renowned as an industry pioneer in putter innovation, and for its patented Soft Face Insert Technology, announced today that its 2012 line of STX Putters including the new Sync Series and Xform Series, the company’s latest putter introductions, will be available at the upcoming Golf Digest HOT LIST TOUR slated for Phoenix, AZ.
The Golf Digest HOT LIST TOUR built on the success of the Golf Digest and Golf World Experience Tour will stop next weekend at the Valley Golf Center in Phoenix, Arizona. On March 24th and March 25th, HOT LIST TOUR attendees will be able to view and demo award-winning HOT LIST golf equipment, meet with Golf Digest editors and preview the latest golf fashion and accessories.

NEW STX SYNC SERIES PUTTERS:
The current Sync Putter Series is a modern adaptation designed to honor the earlier Sync Tour Putters which contributed to 12 PGA Tour victories and dozens of Top-10 finishes.
The design team was committed to developing these new putters with the same artistic flare and performance characteristics associated with the successful series. The STX SS6 Putters exemplifies their dedication.
The STX SS6 Putter is a contemporary blade with an elegant exterior pad line and flange which creates a uniquely shaped head. Additional weighting has been precisely distributed to provide head stability at impact for greater accuracy. This heel shafted putter keeps the hands forward during the entire putting stroke. A bold top-line assists for set up and alignment.
The SS7 Putter features a heavier head with perimeter weighting, perfectly suited for both belly and long length putters. Its wing-like sections add balance with weight. These segments are also designed for an easy, non-drag take away. Optic openings aid with alignment as well as weight distribution. The center shafted SS7 Putter head is finished with a distinctive black PVD coating and weighs either 450 grams for the belly or 500 grams for the long. The belly lengths are 41-inches and 43-inches. The SS7 long putter is available in 48-inches and 50-inches.
The SS8 Blade Putter is a modern adaptation to the classically designed blade. Its clean top-line seamlessly transitions to a half offset, flared neck hosel. The center of gravity is precisely positioned at the impact zone due to the innovative, progressive muscle back and extended heel design. The modern head weighs in at 360 grams and is also finished in black PVD. The SS8 has a 71-degree lie angle and 3-degrees of loft. Both 34-inches and 35-inches are offered on the SS8 Blade Putter. As with all Sync Series Putters, the red and black inserts are available offering multiple firmness options.
Each model in the Sync Series Collection feature Soft Insert Technology called “F.E.E.L.” – Friction Enhancing Elastomer Layer. This patented STX technology dramatically increases the coefficient of friction to put a greater amount of topspin on the ball and keep your putts on line. The Soft Face Insert keeps the ball in contact with the putter longer to also provide superior directional control, decreased ball skid and reduced ball deformation.
NEW XFORM SERIES PUTTERS:
Xform Series Putters combines elegant contemporary lines with exceptional performance. All Xform Putters are 100% machine milled from 303 Stainless Steel.
The Xform 1 Putter features a modern shaped head with traditional weighting and tour inspired topline. A swooping profile seamlessly transitions the topline to the flange. The full offset plumber’s neck positions the golfer’s hands forward at address. The soft satin finish and distinctive milling lines produce an extremely elegant and glare free look. It weighs 350 grams with a loft of 3-degrees and lie of 71-degrees.
The Xform 2 Putter is a contemporary blade milled from 303 Stainless Steel. A tour inspired top line accents the sweeping profile and caters to the golfer who is looking for a modern wide flanged blade. A half offset flare neck positions the golfer’s hands slightly ahead at address. The specifications are similar to the Xform 1 Putter with a 3-degree loft, 71-degree lie and weighs 350 grams. The Xform 2 Putter is available with the newly engineered thermoset insert or the Deep Diamond milled stainless steel face.
The Xform 3 combines cutting edge design with perimeter weighting and industry leading insert technology to produce what we believe will be a front runner of the Xform Series. The Xform 3 Putter exemplifies the Xform Series by pairing cutting edge aesthetics with high performance insert technology. The tour inspired mallet features a cleanly milled alignment rail for increased accuracy. The design also features extreme perimeter weighting for the ultimate in forgiveness.
The Xform 3 Putter is center shafted to add visual confidence at address. As with the entire Xform Series, this contemporary mallet is milled from 303 Stainless Steel. The stylish head is complimented by a glare free, soft satin, finish and distinct milling lines to create a rich texture. The Xform 3 Weighs in at 355 grams with 3-degrees of loft and a 71-degree lie angle. This artistically sculpted, high performance mallet is available in both left and right handed models with lengths of 34-inches and 35-inches.
The Xform Series is available in two distinct feels. For golfers who prefer a softer feel, STX developed a highly engineered thermoset insert that promotes the highest coefficient of friction in the game to maximize forward roll and provide unparalleled feel.
And, for the traditionalists who want the sound, feel and response of machine stainless steel, STX offers its Xform putters with a 100% stainless steel face, featuring a Deep Diamond mill pattern that increases friction while producing the soft feel desired by the best players in the game.
