IRVINE, CA – MARCH 26, 2011 – FOURTEEN GOLF, the worldwide leader in wedge design with now 37 professional tour victories over the past several tour seasons, announced today that Mike Kim has been selected as the FOURTEEN GOLF Demo and Event Rep.
Mike Kim will be in charge of Demo Days and Events on the west coast. In addition, he will be available to support company sales reps outside of his own region. Last weekend, he worked together with Ken Maly during the Golf Digest HOT LIST TOUR in Phoenix, AZ to create a highly successful event.
According to FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda, “The position is incredibly important to FOURTEEN GOLF. As a boutique company some consumers or potential customers have not heard of the brand but when a golfer sees and feels our product – they’re sold. We’re positive that Mike is going to be a major contributor to this year’s overall growth.”
In addition to how important this newly appointed position is, it is what Mike Kim brings to it. He understands golf from a very different and diverse perspective. His golfing pedigree is impressive. After graduating from a very competitive Arizona State golf program, he played on several professional tours.
On the Golden State Tour, he enjoyed nine professional tour victories and was always at the top of the money list. On the Pepsi Tour he captured 20 championships. Between golfing seasons, Mike worked as a teaching professional and pro shop assistant at the Palm Desert Country Club, Los Serranos Country Club and at the Stanton Golf Center.
“Mike’s ability to understand both sides of our business will prove to be very valuable. He also has natural people skills and is very intelligent – he can speak in four languages, including; English, Portuguese, Korean and Spanish. I look forward to watching his department thrive!,” added Kamoda.
