Junior golf camp locations in Pebble Beach, Berkeley and Napa Valley open to those ages 9-17 of all ability levels
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (March 29, 2012): The TOURAcademy has announced that it has dramatically increased the number of junior golf camps it will offer in Northern California this summer. The three locations include a new TOURAcademy camp at Pebble Beach and the return of the Golden Bear camp featuring UC Berkeley golf coaches and the Napa Valley camp. Scheduled to run from June throughout August, camps are open to juniors 9-17 years of age and of all ability levels. Available programs include half-day, full-day, overnight and elite camps.
“We are excited about our Northern California lineup, and of course we are thrilled to add the Pebble Beach location to our camp portfolio this summer,” said Marc Haddad, SVP of Business Development, TOURAcademy. “Each of our camps in this region is truly an ideal for enthusiastic junior golfers for so many reasons, ranging from the world-class facilities to the opportunity to play multiple world-class courses, and just the stunning beauty of the area. It is a perfect backdrop for our seasoned instruction staff to cultivate and support junior golfers in their respective pursuit for both skill development and game enjoyment.”
In addition to the half-day, full-day and overnight camps, the Pebble Beach location will offer TOURAcademy Elite Player programs as well. These programs are exclusively designed to develop and train junior golfers who have a handicap of 10 or below and who are interested in pursuing a collegiate golf career. Camp curriculum includes the full swing mechanics using the most current technology available using launch monitors, short game drills, intense instruction with emphasis on biomechanics and strategies pertaining to the mental aspects of the game. Registered campers will receive club fittings, TPI physical assessments and physical training consultation as well.
The TOURAcademy instruction team members have undergone a rigorous training program and are well-prepared to meet the developmental needs of the junior golfer. Many have served as contributing writers for notable outlets such as PGATOUR.COM, Golf Illustrated, and the Golf Channel, have served as coaches for top college golf teams, and have worked on an international basis with top junior players in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore
“Since we have one of the finest instructor teams in the game, a parent can be assured that his or her junior golfer will receive best-in-class training,” Haddad said. “Combined with the outstanding facilities at all camps and robust program offering, we really feel
the TOURAcademy is becoming a true leader in the junior golf instruction space.”
Other camp locations include some of the most recognized and celebrated golf facilities in the country, including TPC Sawgrass in Florida, TPC Scottsdale in Arizona, La Costa Resort in South California, and TPC San Antonio in Texas.
