TEMPE, ARIZ., April 4, 2012 – Dixon Golf celebrity spokesman Don Cheadle used the Dixon Fire golf ball to hit his first hole-in-one over the weekend, on the 16th hole at The Hills Golf Club in Queensland, New Zealand.
Mr. Cheadle and his family were in Queensland for the NZ PGA Pro-Am Championship, his first time in the event.
“I didn’t even see it, I just saw people jumping up and down and screaming. It was great because my kids were there and my wife was there,” Mr. Cheadle said of his first hole-in-one.
“We’re incredibly proud of Don for hitting his first ace,” William Carey, CEO of Dixon Golf said. “He’s really a very good golfer and a better person; we’re very happy to have him in the fold here at Dixon Golf.”
Mr. Cheadle is the second celebrity to hit a hole-in-one using a Dixon Golf ball. Last year, Kevin Sorbo hit one using the Earth ball in Hawaii while golfing with Rocco Mediate.
