Offering overnight and day camp programs at 30+ nationwide locations
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (April 10, 2012): The TOURAcademy has announced its “spring into summer” incentive program which allows parents to save up to $100 per week when registering during the spring months. Incentives include $25 off per week on half-day camps, $50 off per week on full-day camps, and $100 off per week on overnight and elite player camps. The incentives are valid at any one of the TOURAcademy’s 30+ junior camp summer locations.
“We are hoping junior golfers from across the country are able to join us this year for a summer of fun, camaraderie, and of course game improvement,” said Marc Haddad, Senior Vice President of Business Development, TOURAcademy. “The junior segment continues to be a bright spot within the golf industry and we are pleased to be able to offer camp programs which are supportive, encouraging, and truly dedicated to assisting juniors improve their game.”
TOURAcademy summer camp programs are scheduled to begin in June and run through the month of August. Programs include half-day, full-day, overnight, and elite player camps and are open to juniors 7-17 years of age and of all ability levels. Camps will be held in highly desirable golf destinations including Florida, Arizona, New York, California, Colorado and Texas. Additionally, TOURAcademy camps are held at some of the most recognized and celebrated golf facilities in the country including; TPC Sawgrass, located in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and home of THE PLAYERS Championship; TPC San Antonio in Texas and home of the Valero Texas Open; La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA, and famed Pebble Beach, in Monterey, CA.
Camp curriculum includes the full swing mechanics, short game, and strategies pertaining to the mental aspects of the game. Additionally, camp curriculum will include review of golf jargon, golf etiquette, and overall sportsmanship. “In addition to the on-course game instruction, we also focus our curriculum around how to play the game with integrity, how to maintain a certain level of sportsmanship, and etiquette, as well as other life skills that can be applied to situations which arise both on and off the course,” Haddad said. “So in addition to developing great junior golfers, we also look to develop junior golfers who serve as exceptional junior ambassadors to the game.”
The incentive is also valid toward all TOURAcademy elite player camps. These programs, which will be held at select locations, are exclusively designed to develop and train junior golfers who have a handicap of 10 or below and who are interested in pursuing a collegiate golf career.
Each camp will be taught by a seasoned member of the TOURAcademy staff, all of whom have undergone a rigorous training program and who are well-prepared to meet the developmental needs of the junior golfer. The TOURAcademy staff is comprised of instructors who are highly respected in the golf industry and have been recognized for their work in the golf industry. “In that we have one of the finest instructor teams in the game, a parent can be assured that his or her junior golfer will receive best-in-class training,” Haddad said. “Combine this with our outstanding locations and robust program offering, we really view the TOURAcademy as becoming a true leader in the junior golf instruction space.”
