Winner of Soboba Golf Classic uses Aldila’s VS Proto to help capture wire-to-wire victory
POWAY, Calif. – As the golf world turned their attention to the season’s first Major championship, Aldila (www.aldila.com) continued its domination of the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on the PGA Tour. Led by their latest shaft technology, RIP®, Aldila captured the wood shaft manufacturer count for the 15th consecutive week on the PGA Tour. Aldila had six more wood shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer at the Masters, according to the Darrell Survey. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” also won the hybrid shaft manufacturer count with 11 more hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor to remain the #1 graphite shaft on Tour.
“The top players on the PGA Tour continue to trust Aldila’s RIP Technology™ (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) because it provides them with lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “With the RIP, Aldila engineers employed patent-pending technology and exclusive materials to completely transform shaft design from the inside out providing players with shot control.”
With the help of Aldila’s VS Proto shaft, the winner of the Soboba Golf Classic captured his first win on the Nationwide Tour. He went wire-to-wire finishing with an 8-under 276 (67-70-68-71) to win by two strokes and move into the top spot of the leading money winners on the Nationwide Tour. The Top 25 at the end of the season earn their PGA Tour card for 2013.
The Longest Driver on the Nationwide Tour plays Aldila’s RIP in his Driver. He currently has Driving Distance average of 327.5 yards, which is more than 36 yards longer than the Tour’s average of 291.3 yards.
The latest addition to the RIP series is the Phenom, which incorporates Aldila’s Tour proven RIP Technology™ with a unique composite construction to create a new and innovative shaft flex profile for maximum distance and control – the Hyperbolic Flex Zone™.
The Phenom’s Hyperbolic Flex Zone incorporates the same flex, torque and feel properties that have made the original RIP the leading shaft on the PGA Tour, with a flex profile to achieve unparalleled performance and launch characteristics for better players. The Hyperbolic Flex Zone provides a stiff tip section for optimal launch and spin control, with a very firm butt section for an incredibly stable feel. The center section of the shaft is softer to provide outstanding kick through impact to maximize ball speed.
Aldila’s patented shaft design technologies provide the perfect balance of applied art and engineering. They are continuÌâåÂÌâåÂally on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
