NORTHBROOK, Ill. – April 10, 2012 – KemperSports, a leading golf course management company, recently announced the appointment of Andrew Perez to General Manager of The Course at Aberdeen in Valparaiso, Ind. The Course at Aberdeen is an 18-hole daily-fee golf facility established in 1997.
Perez brings nearly 10 years of experience in the golf industry, having previously worked at properties in Las Vegas, and Northbrook, Ill. Most recently, Perez served as Head Golf Professional and Tournament Coordinator of Mission Hills Country Club, in Northbrook, Ill. During his time at Mission Hills Country Club, Perez restructured the course’s golf operations by establishing new standards in customer service, created new member events, facilitated new marketing programs to increase rounds and generated growth through tournament greens fee sales.
“Andrew brings great experience to The Course at Aberdeen and will be instrumental in providing a great golf experience to area players.” said KemperSports chief executive officer Steve Skinner.
Perez began his career in the golf industry in 2004 as an Assistant Golf Professional at Siena Golf Club, Las Vegas. He then spent three years with The Arroyo Golf Club, a daily-fee facility in Las Vegas, as the Tournament Coordinator and Head Golf Professional where he managed golf operations and was responsible for an average of 40,000 total rounds. Prior to leaving Las Vegas for his position at Mission Hills, Perez served as Director of Golf Operations at Red Rock Country Club from 2007-2010.
