Award-winning course offering active duty military, veterans special rate

(TALLAHASSEE, Fla.) – SouthWood Golf Club – the award-winning Fred Couples and Gene Bates-designed course owned by The St. Joe Company and managed by Billy Casper Golf – announces a series of programs honoring U.S. service members.

In honor of Memorial Day, SouthWood will offer active-duty and retired military with valid ID a special $26 rate (includes green and cart fee) every Monday through Thursday in May.

The course will also donate $1 from every round played in May to the Wounded Warriors Project, providing programs and services to severely injured service members during their transition from active duty to civilian life.

“Service men and women make tremendous sacrifices for our country and we are thrilled to contribute to a fantastic organization like the Wounded Warriors Project,” says Beth Murphy, general manager.

SouthWood will continue to offer the $26 rate to those eligible every Monday from June to August as part of its “Military Mondays.”
