APRIL 11, 2012-CHICAGO-The Chicago Golf Challenge, a series of non-competitive, half-priced golf outings held at private and public courses throughout Chicagoland, is seeking a presenting sponsor to fill the void left by Ketel One Vodka. Additional levels of sponsorship are also available.
Formally known as The Ketel One Golf Challenge, The Chicago Golf Challenge will feature 5-10 events in 2012 to be held on consecutive Mondays throughout the summer. The popular series culminates with a “Million Dollar Shootout,” last year held at Bolingbrook Golf Club in Bolingbrook, IL.
Ketel One Vodka served as the series’ title sponsor from 2009-2011 along with fellow sponsors including Nike Golf, Wilson Golf, Golfsmith, Bettinardi, TopGolf and others.
Leveraging its database of 10,000+ active Chicago golfers, the series leverages local ESPN radio advertising, while using various social media avenues as well as its web site to attract and register participants.
Considered a turn-key series, the Chicago Golf Challenge is perfect for a corporate sponsor looking for local market exposure and sampling opportunities, along with a myriad of other benefits. The 2011 series featured a schedule of 10 events and drew more than 1,000 participants.
“The Chicago Golf Challenge presents an ideal summer golf series for a major sponsor seeking to tap into our demographic of men and women ages 25-50,” says Tim Rowling, president of GolfCourseOnline.com and event founder. With his staff doing the majority of event planning and execution, he says the offer of a turn-key summer series is attractive to any major sponsor.
