Most accurate driver on Nationwide Tour jumps from 23rd to the #1 after switching to Aldila
POWAY, Calif. – Aldila maintained their status as the #1 graphite shaft on Tour by winning the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” had 22 more wood shafts and 11 more hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila has won the wood shaft manufacturer count for 18 consecutive weeks on the PGA Tour and the hybrid shaft manufacturer count at 17 of the 19 events.
After switching to Aldila’s NVS in his driver at the South Georgia Classic, the 23rd most accurate driver became #1 driver in overall accuracy on the Nationwide Tour. He jumped to the number 1 spot with an overall driving accuracy rating of 79.71 percent.
The winner of the 2012 Valero Texas Open became the second most accurate driver at the Zurich Classic this week after switching to Aldila’s RIP’d NV shaft in his driver. He finished the event with an overall driving accuracy rating of 82.1 percent, which was well beyond the Field’s average of 62.2 percent.
