JACKSONVILLE, FL – Jacksonville-area teaching professional Mary Hafeman who operates the Mary Hafeman Golf Academy at The Champions Club at Julington Creek, and Windsor Parke Golf Club, recently was honored as the PGA of America’s Northern Chapter of the North Florida Section, 2012 Teacher of the Year. Hafeman is not stranger to the award having won the honor in 2011 as well.
At the same time, Hafeman was also awarded the 2012 President’s Plaque. The President’s Plaque is designed to recognize a PGA Professional for extraordinary and exemplary contributions and achievements in the area of player development. This award considers the PGA Professional’s growth of the game leadership commitment at the Section and National levels and the impact made at their respective facilities.
“I’m honored with these awards and really appreciate my association with Windsor Parke and The Champions Club,” stated Hafeman. “Both of the club’s team members are as committed to growing the game as I am…it’s win/win for everyone involved. I love sharing my passion with men, women, and children for playing golf…it truly is a great game. Thank you for all the support and see you at Windsor Parke or The Champions Club,” stated Hafeman.
“Congratulations to Mary for the recognition she received from the PGA of America,” stated Jim Lear, manager of both Windsor Parke and the Champions Club. “We certainly see her tireless efforts to introduce new golfers to the game at our facilities. It is great to see her being recognized from our professional association for her efforts and dedication. Congrats again” added Lear.
