11th annual event offers chance to play nationally acclaimed course by making tax-deductible charitable donation

(SHELTON, Washington) – Salish Cliffs Golf Club – the newest amenity of Little Creek Casino Resort, located a short drive from Seattle and Olympia – will host the 11th Annual Squaxin Island Museum Golf Tournament on Monday, June 4.

The tournament provides golfers the opportunity to play one of the most talked-about golf courses in the country while making a tax-deductible contribution. Proceeds will directly benefit the Squaxin Island Museum, Library and Learning Center, which is also known as “The Home of Our Sacred Belongings” and offers mentorships, educational programs and jobs for younger people.

“Squaxin Island Museum, Library and Learning Center is an integral part of the Squaxin Island Tribe and all that it stands for,” said Salish Cliffs Head Professional David Kass, PGA. “We’re thrilled Salish Cliffs will play home to this special event and support a cause that is so important to an entire nation of people.”

The tournament will feature a scramble format with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The green fees include golf, cart, range balls, a catered lunch, a tee gift and two drink tickets (good for beer or soda) at the Awards Dinner and Auction, which will be held in the Salish Cliffs Clubhouse following the tournament.

To register, or for sponsorships details, please call 360-462-3673 or visit www.salish-cliffs.com.

Salish Cliffs Golf Club is the brand-new, 18-hole championship course located adjacent to Little Creek Casino Resort, which is owned and operated by the Squaxin Island Tribe. The course was designed by renowned architect Gene Bates and since opening in September of 2011 it has already garnered several best-in-kind awards from national golf media and has been listed among the top casino-resort courses in the U.S. In March, Salish Cliffs became the world’s first Salmon Safe Certified golf course.

Green fees through May 24 are $75 (Monday-Thursday) and $85 (Friday-Sunday, holidays) for 18 holes and include golf, cart, range balls before round and all taxes. MVP Player’s Card Holders receive $5 off the regular price. Nine-hole and after-3 p.m. rates are $45 (Monday-Thursday) and $55 (Friday-Sunday, holidays).

Tee times can be booked with a major credit card up to 10 days in advance at www.salish-cliffs.com. Advanced tee-time booking up to 60 days in advance is available for those with confirmed Little Creek Casino Resort hotel reservations by calling the golf shop at 360.462.3673.
