NORTHBROOK, Ill – May 29, 2012 – Six KemperSports managed properties have recently been recognized by Golfweek in the publication’s 2012 Best Modern Courses list and five have been named to the 2012 Best Municipal Courses list. Golfweek released its list of the Top 100 Best Modern Courses at the end of March 2012, and its list of the Top 50 Best Municipal Courses was published in early May 2012. Both lists were determined utilizing Golfweek’s panel of course raters around the country.

Golfweek’s 2012 Top 100 Best Modern Courses list features Pacific Dunes in Bandon, Ore., No. 2, Old McDonald in Bandon, Ore., No. 3, Bandon Dunes in Bandon, Ore., No. 7, Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash., No. 22, Bandon Trails in Bandon, Ore., No. 26, and the Dunes Club in New Buffalo, Mich., No. 31. All six courses named in the 2012 edition of Golfweek’s Top 100 Best Modern courses list were also featured in the 2011 list. Five of the six courses were built by Mike Keiser – owner of Bandon Dunes Golf Resort and the Dunes Club.
Golfweek’s 2012 Top 50 Best Municipal Courses list features Chambers Bay, No. 2, Butterfield Trail in El Paso, Texas, No. 3, Olivas Links in Ventura, Calif., No. 21, Desert Willow (Firecliff) in Palm Desert, Calif., No. 27, Sand Creek Station, Newton, Kan., No. 48.
