ORLANDO, Fla., May 31, 2012…Marriott Golf, one of the world’s premier golf operators, recently announced that The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, an 18-hole facility located at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes in Orlando, Fla., has been named the Marriott Golf “Property of the Year.”
This award is based on performance excellence for current and previous years in various categories including golf sales, round improvements, customer satisfaction, program development, personnel development & leadership and more.
“We are pleased to recognize the team at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club as ‘Property of the Year,'” said Claye Atcheson, Vice President of Marriott Golf. “The entire golf team on property has performed at an exemplary level in providing an unforgettable golf experience, thus making them truly deserving of this award.”
The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, designed by two-time British Open Champion Greg Norman, provides a challenging but fair test of a golfer’s abilities. The course design blends water hazards with strategic bunker placement and demanding greens, offering a golf experience not typically found in Florida, with a private course feel.
