Golf Channel Announces Staff Promotions

ORLANDO, Fla. (June 4, 2012) – Golf Channel today announced recent staff promotions at its Orlando headquarters and studios.

Andrew Fleming has been promoted to vice president of business development and senior counsel. Fleming’s responsibilities include advising Golf Channel on key matters of strategic importance. In his expanded role, Fleming also will focus on creating opportunities for new business and maximizing existing assets. During his four-year tenure at Golf Channel, Fleming has contributed to the development of Golf Channel’s Internet-based tee-time business, GolfNow.com, strategically advising and negotiating partnerships. He also helped launch Golf Channel’s SwingFix instructional brand. Fleming will continue to report to Senior Vice President of Business Affairs Chris Murvin.

Praveeta Singh has been promoted to senior director of marketing and promotions. Singh is responsible for developing marketing programs and promotions with national brands and companies to help boost ratings, build partnerships and increase revenue opportunities. Singh serves as a liaison between Golf Channel’s linear and digital sales teams, and is responsible for developing and implementing strategic Golf Channel initiatives incorporating both entities. Singh will continue to report to Vice President of Marketing Gene Pao.
